My Story:

The eleventh ball of the Finale range is also nicknamed the Finale 11.  Not satisfied on just using the star panels ball with the now customary PSC-Texture (dimples or goose bumps) for a year, Adidas has come up with an upgraded version that has the Grip ‘N’ Groove technology that gives the ball a whole new sense of feel with a techno like beat. – See more at: http://www.afewgoodballs.com/adidas/adidas-finale-2011-uefa-champions-league-aka-finale-11/#sthash.1guH5Lb7.dpuf

The tenth ball of the Finale range is also nicknamed the Finale 10 and heralds a new beginning for the Finale range with specific ball technology only used by the Finales.  First appearing in the Adidas Finale Madrid 2010 UEFA Champions League Final match ball, this technology is where the star designs are actually the panels itself with the now customary PSC-Texture (dimples or goose bumps) and thermally bonded to form a ball just used exclusively in the UEFA Champions League.  No longer for now will you see the UEFA Champions League borrowing the technologies like the Terrestra, Roteiro, Teamgeist and Terrapass, and adding just the star designs to the ball.  Welcome to the brave new world.

The Official Story:

The Football Balls feature a seamless surface for a more predictable trajectory and better touch. The adidas Finale 10 Ball is the Official Matchball of the 2010/11 Uefa Champions League which culminates in the final at Wembley on 28th May 2011.

These Finale 10 Footy Balls still adorn the Champions League star motif which has featured on the ball since it’s debut back in the 2000/01 season.

Featuring a PSC texture for better power, swerve and control, the Finale 10 is constructed from 14 panels using revolutionary thermal bonding technology, negating the need for seams and stitching; great for prolonging the life of the ball.
