My Story:

The first uniquely designed ball to be used in the UEFA Champions League Final. The 2005 UEFA Champions League final was the final match of the 2004/2005 UEFA Champions League season contested between Liverpool of England and AC Milan of Italy at the Ataturk Stadium in Istanbul, which was won 3-2 on penalties by Liverpool after a pulsating comeback by Liverpool to draw 3-3 in normal regulation time.  The Finale Istanbul version here is the commemorative version sold to celebrate Liverpool’s victory over AC Milan.  I am not sure if I have the version actually used in the match itself so I am assuming it is similar.  The box that comes with the ball is 190/2005.  Now this is supposed to be limited edition but 2005 balls are still a lot.

The Official Story:

Surprisingly the box does not mention much about the specifications of the ball but I guess we could all rely on the Adidas Finale 5 one.   What it does mention though is “WE WON IT FIVE TIMES” with reference to Liverpool’s success in being Champions of Europe.

Technical Story:

Made in Thailand.

I have one of these balls myself, in the box and unopened.

Do you have any idea as to how much it’ll be worth?
