My Story:

This is the Mitre Pro 100T (or Mitre Atom?) that was supposedly issued for use in the 2008 Football League Cup final between Chelsea and Tottenham Hotspur at The Wembley Stadium in London, which was won 1-2 by Tottenham Hotspur after extra time.  The numbering on this ball is 149/150 which means that it was likely issued to either team for training purposes.

Like the 2007 English League Cup Final version, this ball had the same FIFA Approved Code 219.Q0E as the Pro 100T and does not have its own name even though it has the atom-like symbol design.  Can this be called the Mitre Atom?


The Official Story:

I have not seen one yet since this is supposed a match issued ball for the final.   The story for the generic Mitre Pro 100T should be good enough.
