My Story:

This is likely the first of Nike balls to be used at the UEFA Champions League Finals, where it is just a generic Nike NK 800 Geo white ball with no UEFA Champions League logo. There is no FIFA Approved logo but it does state Meets or Exceeds International Matchball Standards and Tested by SGS United Kingdom Limited, Wembley which I believe was the norm for Nike match quality balls of those era.

The 1998 UEFA Champions League final was the final match of the 1997/1998 UEFA Champions League season contested between Juventus of Italy and Real Madrid of Spain at the Amsterdam Arena in Amsterdam, The Netherlands, which was won 0-1 by Real Madrid in normal regulation time.

The Official Story:

Nike may have advertised for the generic NK 800 Geos in those days so appreciate if this can be found.

Technical Story:

Made in Pakistan.
